Senior lecturer/associate professor (docent) in philosophy.
My main research interests are in environmental ethics and metaethics. I received my Ph.D. in practical philosophy from Umeå University in 2008 with a thesis called The Moral Status of Nature: Reasons to Care for the Natural World. The thesis investigates the question of whether we may have normative reasons to care for nature for its own sake and, if so, what reasons that might be.
Between October 2008 and October 2010 I held a post doc position within the research field Umeå Studies in Science, Technology and Environment (USSTE). My research project was titled “Ethical aspects on sustainable development”.
I have taught different philosophy courses since 2001. My teaching includes normative ethics, metaethics, environmental ethics and political philosophy.
